Harvard Young Leaders Program
LFITM offers its students the opportunity to take part in the Harvard Young Leaders Program, developed in partnership with Harvard University.
Through interactive talks and workshops led by experts, students build essential skills in leadership, public speaking, project management and critical thinking, working on case studies inspired by Harvard Business School methods.
The programme is a real academic and professional springboard: it helps students stand out, join an international network and strengthen their applications to the best universities.
Alumni network
Our former students go on to leading universities around the world. Through the LFITM Alumni network, they share their experience and help younger students choose their path.
Student journeys

“It all started at LFITM.” In Grade 10, I discovered the French preparatory classes for the grandes écoles (CPGE) through a former student who came to share his journey. It was a turning point: I researched the different tracks and immediately felt that CPGE matched my ambitions.
In my final year I applied through Parcoursup and, in May 2024, was admitted to MPSI at the Lycée du Parc in Lyon – the start of a demanding and fascinating adventure.
The beginning was intense, but I was surrounded by motivated students. Thanks to steady effort, my second-semester results earned me a place in the “classe étoile” in the PSI track for my second year.
Today I am preparing for the entrance exams of France’s engineering schools, hoping to join les Ponts or les Mines. It all started at LFITM, with a single testimony.

After LFITM, I began a degree in computer science at the University of Geneva, then moved to information systems and service science, a more concrete field that I really enjoy.
I went on to a master’s in digital systems and services at UNIGE, working on many projects: a website redesign, a film-recommendation algorithm, an internship, hackathons. My favourite was my bachelor’s project: an ethical AI chatbot that raises awareness through storytelling and turns the story into a comic or an Instagram post.
My advice: find out as much as you can about the city you will live in and how your future university works (grading, course structure). It makes a real difference!

I am Natalie Messiha, Egyptian, from the LFITM Class of 2022. After the Baccalauréat I joined Sciences Po Paris on its Menton campus, earning a bachelor’s in Politics and Government with a minor in law, focused on the Mediterranean and Middle East. I spent my third year at City University of Hong Kong.
Since September 2025 I have been studying for a Master in Public Affairs at Sciences Po Paris.
LFITM played a fundamental role in my journey: it is where I developed intellectual curiosity, open-mindedness and a real multicultural sensitivity.

I am Perla Haddad, LFITM Class of 2024, now in the second year of the integrated preparatory programme at Polytech Sorbonne, the engineering school of Sorbonne University in Paris. The courses are intense, but if you love science and engineering it is really worth it.
The programme lasts five years for a master’s-level degree; for next year I am still choosing between materials chemistry and mathematics applied to computer science.
Living in a new country has been formative: you gain independence and open-mindedness. Good luck with your final year, and feel free to contact me on social media with any questions!
