School rhythms that fit each age
Kindergarten (TPS, PS, MS, GS) – a first step towards excellence
LFITM Kindergarten welcomes young children from Toute Petite Section (TPS) to Grande Section (GS) in a warm, caring and stimulating setting where every child can flourish.
A structured day that follows children’s rhythm. The day starts at 8:00 and ends at 14:30. After class, children can join the Mini Club until 16:30 for play and creative activities, or enrol in after-school activities offering a variety of educational and artistic experiences.
Children have two breaks during the day: a snack break and a lunch break, with a balanced lunch box prepared by parents.
From the youngest age, families choose between two pathways:
- The French–English bilingual pathway, taught by native-speaking teachers, for natural language immersion.
- The standard French pathway, following the French national curriculum, with early English for balanced progress in core learning.
LFITM places special emphasis on cultural openness from Kindergarten: children also discover Arabic language and culture, building a multilingual and multicultural pathway.
The day combines discovery, learning and play:
- Motor skills, for coordination and balance
- The French curriculum, building core foundations
- Early English and Arabic, for multilingualism
- Outdoor play, essential for physical and social development
- Living together, learning cooperation and respect
Elementary: a balance between core skills and cultural openness
The elementary section offers a stimulating and caring learning environment for every student from CP to CM2 (Grades 1–5). Families choose between two pathways:
- A French–English bilingual pathway, taught by native-speaking teachers following the Cambridge curriculum, for strong command of both languages.
- A standard French pathway, following the French national curriculum, for rigorous and balanced progress in core learning.
With classes of about 25 students, the focus is on individual support, teamwork and independence, in a multicultural and caring environment.
Alongside the curriculum, a wide range of after-school activities encourages creativity, curiosity and open-mindedness.
Secondary: a structured pathway to exams and higher education
From 6e (Grade 6), students can join the American International Section (SIA), which continues the bilingual programme from elementary school. This demanding programme strengthens English through in-depth literature and history-geography while keeping a strong French foundation.
We prepare students for the French International Baccalaureate (BFI), with a 100% pass rate at the Baccalauréat and the Diplôme National du Brevet (DNB), thanks to personal support from teachers seconded by the French Ministry of Education.
The BFI, a diploma recognised worldwide, strengthens analysis, oral and written expression and cultural openness, preparing students for prestigious universities and a globalised world.
Openness to culture
LFITM gives its students privileged access to culture and artistic creation through lasting partnerships with the French Embassy in the UAE, the Institut français, Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi and the Louvre Abu Dhabi.
Among the flagship projects, “From the blank page to the stage” sees Grade 6 students write and perform their own songs with a French stage artist, before performing them in concert in the school auditorium.
Students also take part in artistic encounters, exhibitions, creative workshops, theatre and cultural events with local institutions, helping them become informed citizens who value cultural diversity.

Leadership and entrepreneurship
LFITM places personal and collective commitment at the heart of its mission. We encourage students to develop initiative, creativity and responsibility through clubs, projects and associations that reflect their values and passions: sustainability, solidarity, citizenship, equality, innovation.
Through programmes such as the Young International Reporters (JRI), students cover cultural, sporting and educational events at school and at international events, developing critical thinking, public speaking and communication skills.
Our ambition: to educate committed, curious, creative and responsible citizens, ready to act with conviction and contribute positively to their community.

Knowledge and Culture Hub (PCC)

The Knowledge and Culture Hub (PCC) is an innovative learning space that fosters curiosity, openness and critical thinking through interdisciplinary projects, workshops and cultural activities. It includes:
- The Marmothèque, introducing the youngest children to the pleasure of books
- The BCD (library and documentation centre), for primary students
- The 3C (Knowledge and Culture Centre), a place for research and independent work in secondary
The PCC also runs “5 minutes to change everything” (Drop Everything And Read – DEAR), from primary to Terminale, in French, English and Arabic: five minutes of silent reading per class hour, in the school’s three languages of instruction.
Inclusive School Resource Hub (PREI)
The Inclusive School Resource Hub (PREI) embodies LFITM’s commitment to inclusion. It supports students with special educational needs and helps teaching teams put suitable adjustments in place. Its missions:
